first string
Rei - spastic sketch-o-matic (homicidal protagonist)
first appearance: comic #1
Rei is, hands-down, the most bipolar of the lot. she's angsty, gleeful, violent, in love, caustic, and adorable. she has a knack both for accidental self-injury and making odd expressions. Rei is not to be confused with the comic artist, who shows up occasionally and looks exactly like her.
Cove - pathological pyromaniac (love interest)
first appearance: comic #1 Cove is the only boy in the main cast, but this doesn't seem to impede him- nor does he seem to be dissuaded by Rei's macabre sense of humour. he's a pyromaniac and has been seen to light things on fire such as trees, himself, and the photocopy puppy. he can also charm the pants off you, largely due to the Australian accent.
Elle - cheery compatriot (best friend)
first appearance: comic #4
Elle is perhaps too mild-mannered and friendly for her own good. she is a vegetarian who likes kids and supports animal rights, and as such is often horrified by Rei's off-handed comments about eating children. despite usually being the straight man for the other characters' antics, she occasionally comes back with her own amusing sharp comment.
Mae - sarcastic sadist (best friend)
first appearance: comic #5
Mae is not really that angry- on the contrary, she's fairly good-natured. she just likes being sarcastic and violent for violence's sake, often to humorous ends at other people's expenses. her favourite target is Rei because her angst makes her so damn easy to pick on. Mae is distinctly carnivorous.

second string
generic dude
first appearance: comic #10
generic dude is exactly that- generic. he can be viewed one of two ways- as one person whose opinions, personality and status change fleetingly so as to represent society, or as a veritable army of characters spanning society that all happen to look exactly identical. therefore, any facts (such as that he's Christian, American, and has a girlfriend) are liable to change without notice. |
photocopy puppy
first appearance: comic #22
the photocopy puppy is an enigma, half digital and half paper product. he dislikes being called 'photocuppy' but everyone does it anyway. intelligent but callous, the photocopy puppy likes trolling on the internet and studying science and politics. he is also virtually indestructible due to keeping photocopies of himself as backup, which is useful, as he keeps getting set on fire by Cove. |
Boxface McGee
first appearance: comic #184
Boxface McGee is everything you hate about fangirls. she's a band groupie, a weeaboo, and the most utterly generic, mindless person imaginable. she's so generic she doesn't even have a face. Boxface seems to alternate between dating the lead singer of a band and the generic dude... or one of them. |
third string
the artist
first appearance: comic #60
looks exactly like Rei, and tends to confuse the cast when she shows up in person. the artist acts as divine intervention and can occasionally be seen speaking from the heavens. she has revealed that the cast used to be made of stickers, but has been upgraded to rare-earth fridge magnets. |
spry sprite
first appearance: comic #162
the spry sprite is a sprite of a sprite from an oldschool RPG. she's very sprightly and has a weakness for drinking Sprite... which unfortunately gives her sugar highs and sends her zooming around, usually annoying everyone else. |
sardonic sheep
first appearance: comic #172
the sardonic sheep was found by Rei and Cove when they decided to go sheep-hugging, not long after it moved from New Zealand due to over-crowding. it tends to be bitter about the stigma that goes with being a sheep, so it takes it out on people with sarcasm and a dry wit, although it secretly enjoys being hugged. |
:V ducks
first appearance: comic #341
the :V ducks showed up when Rei decided it was her calling in life to raise them. their numbers are unknown, although at least four have been spotted, including a :V duckling. |
